Specialised in security case study - Alexander

Alexander was referred by DWP to participate in our Specialised Security Programme. After he was assessed, it showed that he did have some barriers to employment however, with the right support he would be ready to find work. Alexander had been long term unemployed for over 6 years and was beginning to give up hope of ever finding employment. He had worked in Landscaping and also in Security prior to the mandatory training requirements and licencing. Due to his absence from employment, he suffered from a lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem. Alexander was a bit apprehensive about joining the Security Programme however is so pleased that he did. He worked hard throughout the programme and his progress was outstanding. We managed to secure an interview for him with Allander Security and he was offered a job on the spot. He has now been employed with Allander for over 2 years and has managed to be promoted to Mobile Security Supervisor.
