SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7
Overview
This is a work-based qualification, and all evidence must be in relation to the individual’s job role and responsibility. The award is made up of eight units, four of which are mandatory. Mandatory units: Promote effective communication; Promote health, safety and security in the work setting; Develop your practice through reflection and learning; Promote the safeguarding of children and young people. In addition to the above, four further units must be chosen from a number of optional units.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- You must be working in a childcare setting or supporting children and young people
- You must be working a minimum of 16 hours per week, and you must have been in a job role for a minimum of 6 months
- If you are in a volunteering role, you must be doing a minimum of 16 hours per week, and you must have been in the job role for a minimumof7 6 months
