Welcome To VERG
The Vocational Education Resource Group (VERG) are a training and employability service provider. Started in 2009 initially by Richard Haney and Peter Louden they were quickly joined by Elayne Muir who between them have over 40 years of training and employability experience working on centrally and locally funded National programs.
VERG have delivered many national programs such as Community Task Force, Get Ready For Work, Training For Work, Employability Fund, New Enterprise Allowance and the Business and Administration Modern Apprenticeships. VERG also deliver their own programs such as Zone into Sport, Prepare to Care, Skills for Work Skills for Success. VERG have also designed and project managed many bespoke programs on behalf of partner organisations.
These programs have been delivered for and in partnership with organisations including, Skills Development Scotland, East Renfrewshire Council, Renfrewshire Council, Inverclyde Council, Project Scotland, The Scottish Training Foundation, Jobcentreplus, TBG Learning & PeoplePlus.
Our approach is to centre on the identification and removal of participant barriers, training needs and employability skills required for each participant to enter their chosen career before job matching participants when to suitable employers.
